Default Started my colonoscopy prep...

So far today I have eaten two packages of jello... I am so full...

Also had about 8 cups of water.

The "fun" starts tonight at 7:00... I can't wait. This is my second one, so I know full well what is going to happen.

Anyone want to wager what my total weight loss will be by tomorrow am? Weighed myself last night before bed and I checked in at 224.

My guess is 214 by tomorrow when I get to the doctor.

What kind of turbo fluid has the doctor prescribed?

is the jello because that is all you can eat or is that part of the prep? Never heard of jello being part of the prep, miralax and some other lax with water or juice. They say don't skimp on the prep. worst thing is they start the procedure and have to stop and re schedule because the prep was not done correctly..

Weight loss is due to not eating and the mass evacuation that starts tonight. No blockage for me. My brother had colon cancer, so this is a precautionary 5 year thing.

Jello isn't part of the prep, its basically the only thing I can eat. No solid food, only broth and jello. Broth is tough on a day when its about 90 degrees out.

I go in 1st thing tomorrow am, so that's why the prep is late. Maybe next time around I'll go for last time of the day. When I had my last one, I was done "prepping" around 10 at night, so it wasn't that bad.

Did the pills last time, but now its Prepopik. We'll see how that goes.

Just remember to make sure there is PLENTY of TP in each bathroom...

I hate to admit it, but time before last I failed to fully "off-gas" and we had and unexpected event to prove that "$htt happens"! I guess doctoring has dangers of its own.

Seriously man, this is no big deal. I kept my Iphone in the bath with me and did my work while I was prepping.

If more people thought it was no big deal, less Dad's would orphan their children.

Besides, the drugs they gave me during the procedure was the best stuff I've ever had in my body..Period..

I told the doc, that was the best time of my life..I was happy about everything..Then I came out of it and wanted to mortgage my house for another dose..

New approach. The stuff they give you really kicks in in the am. I had a colonoscopy last year and did not start the prep until 7pm the night before. My 5 am the next morning I was chipping porcelain in the toilet bowl.

MB is right. I put it off for 5 years and finally got around to having my 1st colonoscopy this spring. I'm 56 Y.O. Thankfully my delay didn't cause any harm. The doc said you're clean as a whistle. Come back in 7-10 years. He even gave me pictures so that I'd have a souvenir.

I was disappointed that the preparation was so uneventful. Based on what I had been told I was expecting to be blasting off the great white throne and having the best dump of my life. It was much ado about nothing.
