I get chills just waching that video. A lot of people owe their lives to Boeing for the construction of the trip 7.

Dammit, you beat me to it.

I heard that the two deaths weren't from the crash but from being run over by rescuers

I heard the same. Two young girls, 16-ish. Originally, they had said they were thrown from the plane, but are now suspecting they got nailed by an ambulance raising to the scene. Very sad.

Sad to think that they are now faulting the pilot for approaching too slowly. Can you imagine how the passengers on the other plane felt as they were apparently approaching the end to take off?

Lot of people still in hospital in critical condition. Hope no one has life debillitating injuries.

My doc told me one time that sometimes that not dieing is worse in some cases and gave examples. Hopefully that's not the case for any of these passengers.

Even more bizarre, this:

"Jumping down a steep evacuation slide from a burning airplane with people all around panicking isn't easy, and you need your arms and hands to help. Yet time after time, passengers evacuate toting suitcases, laptop computers and other valuables they apparently can't leave behind.

Images from the crash landing of Flight 214 in San Francisco showed some dazed passengers fleeing the 777 wreckage with carry-on bags and iPads. One even had two boxes of duty-free alcohol. Some ran in shoes with heels—another bad idea when survival is at stake."

From the Wall Street Journal:

Look at the pic. Wan Hung Lo there just strolling down the runway with his freakin' wheel along, like he's heading down the airport concourse to get to another flight!! Good grief!!! ;?

If you don't know what the "big deal" is, please, PLEASE never fly on the same plane as me!

Let's put it this way - it's one thing to run back into a burning house to grab a child, or perhaps a pet, maybe even your wife (kidding!). It is NOT okay to run back into a burning house to grab your iPad or cell phone.

Plane crashes on runaway, people clogging up the aisle too busy worried about getting their ch!t outta the overhead, etc. Plane can go BOOM!! Leave the silly ch!t and get the hell outta my way, I want off this sucker NOW!!

Get it???

I guess but there doesn't seem to be a whole bunch of panic in the photo you posted.

Reminds me of the folks who are up in the aisles as soon as the wheels touch down. Lets hurry up and get off this plain just to wait for the next.

Once I've realized I wasn't dead I'd probably wait to let the maniacs off and grab my stuff. Hopefully with enough time to grab a Cinnabon before my connecting flight

Exactly my point. More like "Geez, I hope I don't miss my connecting flight!" The only smart guy in that article is the one that took his duty free alcohol. After living through something like that, the first thing I would want is a couple of drinks!! (And a clean pair of underwear)
