Thumbs up Pole position cart racing

Has anyone tried this http://www.polepositionraceway.com/

I visited my SIL this weekend and I tried this out at the local mall. I was amazed at how much fun this was. The carts are surprisingly fast and really tests your racing ability. I got off the cart in a sweat and a bit worn out. It was $23.00 + $5.00 license fee, not a bad price for 15-20 mins of fun.

My son and I went to TampaGP several times and had a BLAST!
The carts handled VERY well and were pretty quick. Takes a lot of endurance to get the most out of them.

We have one near us....been a number of times with and without the kids. It's fun but after I got into 3 mile road racing the carts just don't do it for me anymore.

There is also these two, both are outdoors and have the fast shifter karts. My friend goes to anderson since its down the road from his parents. Once in a while they do a full large course and its over a mile long. I Used to goto the Ocala for car drift events years ago.Used to goto Tampa Bay GP when it was in St Pete. They let us go out one time after it just finishing raining, and it was a blast on a wet track

It was fun. The bar over top of the track with a glass floor was a nice touch.

Yeah, the track was pretty crowded. Some lady was complaining afterwards that I hit her from behind. She was all over the track and wouldn't let anyone pass.

They say they will do 45 mph. I don't think I got it that fast.

We have one in Delaware, My kid was in the racing league they have. Did it for 3 years, 2 leagues per year. Was fun.

He did it 12 through 15 and I think it helped his ability to driver as well as he such an aware driver,
Don't have to worry about him driving fast either with his 96 F 250 and 460 in it it would burn to much fuel if he his the pedal hard

Jhere are several speed settings that are controlled by the track Marshall. He can slow you down or speed you up with his remote. I was told that most people are set to a level just below "high".

The guy that sets up these locations is based in Tampa, too. Think his name is Pasquale, or something like that. Nice guy. He goes and gets the franchises setup and does a good job of showing them the ins and outs. I think each cart runs about 10k.

We have something similar in Garner, NC....went there last week for the first time ever, ran the 20th fastest lap of the day near closing time. Gas pedal to the floor, no fear!
