Default finally 300k miles

My old 1991 s10 blazer finally Reached 300,000 miles for over a year I have been driving it with 2 broken body mounts and dealing with the rattles. Changing the oil every 3000-4000 its all original except all the common stuff that goes in cars. the engine purrs like a kitten, i never have to add oil. if it wasn't for the body rotten out the engine would easily hit 350k+ It was my first car when i turned 16 and i have babied it and now its time for some fun in some mud puddles

My dad says i should contact chevy or bring it to a local dealership, is it really something that uncommon from a 91? what do you guys think? ;?

I had a 86 S-10 Tahoe with a 2.8l and it had 250 on it when my brother wrecked it. Would have gone another 50 easy. That little truck had aftermarket dual exhaust with the cats removed and it would purr down the interstate all day at 80.

Instead of abusing it, why not respect it?
My brother trashed a 65 Mustang back in the 70's when he knew he was going to by a new Dodge van.
Never understood that. Trashing the Mustang and buying a Dodge, why? ;?

My 97 Nissan, 4 cyl, 5sp, 2wd, xtra cab, no rust, had 317,000+ when I sold it for $100.00 more than I was asking for it.
Asked $900.00, was offered $1,000.00 and on the way to meet the buyer for the exchange got yet another call (got over 50 calls) and he offered $1,100.00 sight unseen.

If engines are taken care of they should last. They don't always but they should.
Congrats on the 300,000!

We have had customers put 400,000 on S10's. They used them as delivery vehicles. Sad day for us and them when they stopped making them.

My dad says maybe a dealership might make an offer for a promotion or contact Chevy but idk what they would do. I figure I could probably get $500 for it because of its age and the broken body mount and I would rather keep it and have fun off roading

We have had vehicles with 500,000 miles and more and have contacted Chevrolet. They did not seem interested. At most it would be a blog post for them. Not putting down you or vehicle just know GM.

The $500 price is of course subjective. If you like it and it won't cost you an arm and a leg to fix it keep it. Just understand you will not get any money you spend on it back. So you have to look at it if I spend $1200 is it worth $100 a month for 12 months to keep driving it?

I just got sold my 92 S-10 with only 80.000 on it. It needed cab supports.rocker panels and front inner and outer fenders. Cape Cod is tough on cars and boat ramps don't help
