Default A-Rod's in town

Maybe this should be posted in the "sports" forum, but I figured I'd get a wider audience here. Alex Rodriguez is in town (Charleston, SC) to play in a couple of games during his "rehab" for the local nine......the Charleston RiverDogs. The instant it was announced that he'd be playing here, there was a mad rush for tickets( ended up standing room only >7,000). A friend of mine already had tickets prior to the announcement since he was celebrating a birthday for a friend of their family. My friend was at the game as was his 15 year old son. After A-Rod played his three innings at third base he went off towards the right field picnic area and started signing autographs for the fans. My friend son patiently waited in line for around 10 mins to get ARod's autograph. He didn't have any baseball paraphernalia for ARod to sign so he handed him his ticket stub for his autograph. ARod looked at it and handed it back to my friend's son, without signing it and without telling him why he wouldn't sign it. He was signing baseballs, programs, hats but he wouldn't sign the ticket.
Anyone know why??? I can't for the life of me figure out why he wouldn't autograph a ticket from the game.
I was actually surprised that he stayed around as long as he did signing. But why not sign the ticket?
