Let me go look. Hmmmm Looks like Cheerios and sardines. Wife is away for a few weeks. Already outta beans. Prolly go to one of the bars where everybody knows my name and get a burger with a few brews. I am hoping Livs Oyster Bar has happy hour and $1 Clam and Oysters that day, even though it is a Holiday.

Headed to the coast and knowing our crowd it will be a shitload of shrimp, hush puppies, and slaw. All easy to cook while drinking.

Since we will be on the road 7/4, we are doing our cooking now. Slow-cooked wild Canada goose breast/Zinfandel last Friday (Memphis rub on the goose- wow, was that good!), beer can chicken/New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with German chocolate cake for dessert yesterday, New York Strips tonight with a nice Cab, still debating tomorrow's dinner.

I think i'll grill with the girlfriend...maybe some kabobs of chicken/shrimp/peppers/pineapple

I HATE holidays and social interaction after dealing with ungrateful people all week.

We are doing short ribs on the grill. Corn, asparagus also on the grill. Probably potato salad too just because its a holiday.

That Santa Maria tri tip up there looks incredible. I posted a similar recipe in food and drinks a few days ago. Such a great cut of meat.
