Default Looking for music suggestions

It's time to shuffle my playlists again. I need something to replace the Skrillex and Die Antwoord currently on there. I'm looking for something in that same vein so if you don't like them or have never heard of them, please don't suggest something I've never heard of, only to have my look it up and find out they are covering Lee Greenwood songs.

No idea who either of those are! How about linking a youtube of one of those or let us know what genre?

Faderhead. Try FH4 for a start, or Black Friday

BIG Hint: this music is better if you don't watch the video. Odd, but I find it true.

Kosheen

Give me thumbs up, or down, and I'll adjust accordingly.

And, just maybe, Ayria

Have you tried Jimmy Buffett?

Ayria was a little on the "poppy" side for me, but still all good.

It's funny. Years ago I was listening to Bauhaus and everyone looked at me funny, but that was in the early to mid 80's and there was no youtube. I'm subjected to listening to my daughter's musical preferences any time I'm carting her around. Now it's just nice, when I'm alone, to crank up something a bit edgier than what I'm normally subjected to.

Reminds me of a guy who was asked about the chain that connected his lip ring with his ear ring. He explained (he thought that he had explained) that in order to be "unique", he added the chain.

80's, we were listening to The Clash, New Order, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The The, Roxy Music, Tangerine Dream, Patty Smith, lots of others. What they had in common: they weren't on the radio. Couldn't stand what passed for music on the radio. Toto... - really?

So many of our friends are stuck in the 70's. We go to the Infected Mushroom show, they talk about what a hoot the Journey tribute band was.

They missed 30 years of great new music.

You have Skrillex, so I assumed you have Deadmau5.

Just a couple shots in the dark: SITD, Bassnectar. Again, feedback prompts suggestions.

Wow I listen to all manner of out there stuff that no one listens to . Guarantee I could play stuff for hours upon hours that you've never heard . But this stuff is REALLY friggen out there . Where do you get introduced to such works? I can't say I really like it but I am intrigued.

In my experience, something I like immediately, I get tired of quickly. Unless I just hate something, I give it at least a couple tries.

First time I heard Faderhead, I was so-so. After a couple of listens, it gets in your head. I work out to stuff like this every morning, makes a difference in your workout.

BTW, Faderhead and Kosheen are both better to listen to if you don't watch the video. Odd, but true. I just don't know a legal way to post sound only.

I like all kinds of stuff. That is pretty bizarre but I like it. I am not sure with out the video I would, but it's not bad.

As far as new songs, I was jamming out to Ronnie Millsap this morning. Smokey Mountain Rain.

So you're the guy at the sandbar that I run from!!

The comment about being stuck in the 70's fits me to a ''T''. My playlist includes a plethora of everything from Doo Wops to mild rap and country. I will guarantee this, anyone on my boat from kids to grandpa will enjoy the music that is being played and will at some point be singing along.

Sorry no room for Die Atwoord on my cassettes!
