Default Stolen GPS

I know these are long gone but I thought I would give it a long shot. Truck broken into Saturday night and two GPS's were stolen. Both Garmin, one was a Nuvi 255w and the other was a Nuvi 295w. In the long shot that someone were to run across someone trying to sell these exact two models let me know. jkapl001@gmail.com. Again, I know I will never see these again, but worth a shot.

If you had your house address programed in as "home", you might want to tighten security at your house. Who ever buys it from the thief will have your home address at their fingertips. this happened to a friend. word to the wise.

Might be stating the obvious but the question made me think of it - is it possible to reverse- track a GPS unit if you had the serial number or some other unique I'd?
