Default Concealed carry, how old & how long?

How long have you had your license to conceal carry and at what age did you get it?

I got mine on my 21st birthday a little over 30 years ago.

Got mine when I was 22. Have kept it up to date till now. I am 47.

In that time I have had to draw it twice but fortunatly have never had to fire a shot, except at the range.

Have no idea when I first got my permit. Have renewed it twice and am good through 2016 so I assume I have had a permit for almost 20 years. For the first 15 years or so I never carried. Now that everyone and thier brother is f~ckn crazy and after me I carry almost always.

I got mine about 10 years ago, renewed once. I've never felt the need to carry a gun all the time. I've never carried concealed.

The only time I ever wished I had a gun on me was in a bar with two large, bad ass, ex cons, that took a dislike to me about 40 years ago. I made a hasty exit.

I'm a bit late to the party compared to the rest of you. I'm 35 and just got mine in Jan of this year. ALWAYS carry now.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Cracker, after you retire don't you get a different kind of CCW. You will be able to carry in all the states, even if they have no carry law?

It's called HR-218. Any LE or retired LE can carry 24/7 anywhere in the 50 states. You are required to attend a course once a year to maintain your federal license.

What he said and I will keep my State of Florida CCW also since it is 60 or 70 bucks for 7 years and then I can buy without a 3 day wait. The State of Florida even makes active LEOs do the 3 day wait to purchase a weapon but a CCW holder doesn't, go figure

Only 2.5 years left in the DROP... (Unless I buy the right Lottery ticket )
