What are your thoughts on this? Is this going overboard?

Ovarian cancer is un-detectable and is almost always advanced stage and not curable when it is found.

Breast cancer can be detected and if found early has a high cure rate.

The decision is hers to make. I'll bet a hysterectomy is in her near future.

She must have been really scared of the alternative. I don't know what she was told so I will reserve judgment on her decision.

Heard this this morning while driving. While I understand her decision, wow. Just wow. I don't know if I could do that to my parts unless I *knew for certain* they were diseased or killing me.

I don't know that science is to the point yet of proving that a single "rogue" gene is a death sentence. There are so many other factors involved.

You don't want your first evidence of breast cancer to be a hard lymph node. (Happens!)
