Default best way to clean your rod and reel?

Hi guys, I recently treated myself to a tyrnos 30 wide and was wondering what would be the best way to clean it after a day of fishing... Would it be smart to dunk it in a bucket of warm water after tightening the drag or just spray it with the water hose? Thanks!

Tighten drag.

Put in shower and let it run while you was boat and drink beer.

Done.

I made a rod shower out of a Rubbermade tool shed. One of the small ones from Home Depot. I ran 1/2" PVC pipe with 1/8" holes drilled in it. Holds about 10 rods. It cleans the rods while I clean the fish. I'd post pics but for some reason I've been having a lot of trouble uploading them lately.
