Thumbs up AR Built FINALLY

After a VERY long wait for my paperwork to clear the state on my lower, I slapped together my first AR.

It's pretty basic not a lot of the fancy accessories found on some, but I am happy with it.

Spikes lower
Spikes lpk and trigger

Very Nice!!! DD is real quality stuff. Pop a quality red dot on it and co-witness it (full or 1/3) and you will be ready to rock and roll.

Nice. Having livestock I appreciate the low profile of standard sights (you can whip em out of the truck faster and rain lead down on the coyotes).

Looks good to me. As long as it's reliable and shoots well is the main concern. Always can add accessories later.

Looks great.

They use to be a lot more fun to shoot when bullets didn't cost 1.00-1.50 each.

Thanks WL.

Even $.60 per round is painful. Cabela's was listing Hesters .223 today for $.35 per round so I snagged a few boxes. I also ended up gett'n 500 rounds of Wolf for about $.50 per round and some brass cased .556 for about $.65 per round. Hopefully the prices will start to come back down.

Nice stick.

What do you mean by "paperwork to clear the state," is it an SBR or is the flash hider pinned on?

Thanks, I still have not shot the damn thing yet... Maybe this weekend.

I was referring to the state police background check. Between the fed trying to ban assault weapons and the initiatives of our dear Gov - see SB281 assault weapons ban - there has been a real buying frenzy in MD. Thanks to our good Gov and the rest the Fed gun grabbers there are WAY more ARs and guns in households in MD today than ever before. Anyway I digress... The state police have not been able to keep up with all of the applications. Wait times now are 65+ days out!

PS my flash hider is pinned.
