Lightbulb Anger and Fear. Can you have anger without some form of fear?

Can you be angry about something without the underlying emotion being that of fear?

Post up an example in either direction:

Car cuts you off, you get angry and give him the finger... <Anger
He could have injured or killed you (or someone else) in an accident leaving your wife a widow and your child with no father <Fear

Angry about gun control... <Anger
Won't be able to protect my family or for them to protect themselves <Fear

I can't think of any in the other direction. Let's see if you can.

I'm angry about most thing in general. Only scared about a few, and they do not generate anger( lost of a job, wife, my dogs).

You fear that you got ripped off on this and that you may have been ripped off on other things. (Personally, I'd fear eating at McDonalds... but that's another thing). LOL

Easy: You're fearful that you're fat. Next.

Fearful that my family will starve while some freeloader gets rich on my back.
Fearful that I'll lose a customer.
Fearful that you have to rely on a POS Realturd
(P.S. If I were you, I'd be fearful that you're not the sharpest tool in the shed... just saying.)

LOL - Yeah -- but why is she angry and perhaps she's angry because she fears that she isn't making you happy...

Might not be the right crowd for this sort of thing.

LOL. Fearful that you can't accomplish something that you feel you should be able to. One of the number one reasons I lose my head.

I have to say -- that may be one of them. Unless you fear that you'll lose money on "your" team (if you bet) -- or you'll lose face with somebody that is hot for the other team or something like that. I've never been able to understand organized professional sports... so I'm out on that one.

Those are things that you are fearful of. Nobody can help if it if you are such a pussy that you fear every little thing.

My family will not starve because I get a ticket. I do not fear the police, nor a ticket. After all, I WAS speeding

I am sharper than you in that I do not cut my deliveries that close. No fear of losing a customer over a one day late delivery

I do not fear the realtor. I simply negotiate a better commission while I am out enjoying life, rather than being stuck showing a FSBO.

In the examples you posted

Fear would probably be the after affect or a product of reflection and reasoning

Anger is the immediate reaction, fear comes later

In life threatening situations, fear can come out quickly because it is deduced much quickier and the situation is more obvious, per se

Anger over trivial things ( like traffic) is a sign of a weak minded individual.

The biggest fear I have is that people like you are allowed to vote. That makes me angry. LOL.

I can understand that. So you believe in repressing the anger (and fear) that the person that cut you off could have killed you or your child? (Not being a wise-ass, it's a legit. question).

Interesting discussion. There are very few things that make me legitimately angry or scared, but they are usually related. I get annoyed a lot but very seldom actually angry.

My wife did not go to work today so I could not take the high-flow lane and instead had to sit with all the regular traffic. I almost had an aneurysm and had to pull my gat at least 3 times. No anger issues here.
