Default aluminum porch

I am looking to get a screened in porch put on the back of my house. All the guys who do wooden want over 8 grand for them. This one company will put a wooden/shingle roof on with aluminum framing and kick plate. I was wondering if anyone here has one of these, and if so do they like it.

Thanks

I am putting a roof over my deck during the next few weeks, eventually it will become a 3 season porch with partial walls with screens in the summer, and windows in the fall. The first stage for me is putting up the roof. We went last night and priced it out, materials will be around $350 and it should take me about a day. We will add the other things bit by bit as the year goes on, I should be well under $1000 for materials though when it's all said and done. I am doing all the work myself. The deck is 8-1/2' X 16'.

One of the houses behind me put up a prefabbed alum sunroom.

It really looks cheezy.
Does not blend with the house at all.

I have an aluminum screen room as a patio, we love it,
the soft parts (screen and such) are warranted for 8 years
the roof for 50 years
it's if I remember correctly 12 x 25 cost around 3k, last year

I have a aluminum patio cover and it looks great. The color matches the house exactly. You never need to worry about painting or rot. Go out a take a look at some before making your decision. I would not hesitate ot do it again. Aluminum is forever! Unless a tornado comes thru.
