I have friends that only can drink light domestic beer.... It has no taste and makes you piss more. No thanks.

I will take a nice bitter IPA that will make the hairs stand up on your back any day of the week.

See now if they were smart they would have publicized this before doing it and raised market share just like Maker's Mark! Bad marketing.

It is probably true - and if so, AB-InBev can forget about it buying any other beverage companies if it wants to do business in the US - Congress will see to that.
Also, it will be tricky for AB-InBev to resolve - if they pay off the class action lawyers they lose in the court of public opinion, and if the allegations are true, it will cost them $Billions. The class action lawyers will get rich either way.

Wow who gives a shit about the POS brands. Inbev is probably staying up all night worrying about some piss ant law suit. Like to see the proof of the alleged watering down. Some disgruntled former employee or industrial spying.

So far it's not proven to be true... just a lawsuit.

And its not only for Bud Light "The lawsuit alleges the other watered-down beers are Bud Ice, Bud Lite Platinum, Michelob, Michelob Ultra, Hurricane High Gravity Lager, King Cobra, Busch Ice, Natural Ice and Bud Light Lime."

I haven't had a Bud product in over 20 years.

The only ones???? Had some Busch this past summer and reminded me of the 'near beer' from my Army days. Noticing Bass Ale not same either since being an AmBev takeover and brewed here.

In bev has been tring like hell to get the US market share back. They keep inventing new lines of crap beer, or cheap attempts to compete with the craft beer market - without the US market, they are toast.

Inbev is hardly toast the # 1 beer in the USA Bud Light # 2 Bud. Inbev has hundreds of brands world wide and is now buying the remaining portion of Modelo and the half part of Crown owned by Constellation.

Bud Light is the most popular beer here in AZ and northern Mexico. The Mexicans absolutely love the stuff. Go figure.

"Many Americans wrongly assume that Budweiser is the top selling beer in America. The actual fact is that Bud Light has overtaken Budweiser in sales volumes in 2001 and has been retaining its number one position ever since. Bud Light enjoys about 16% of the total beer market in US. Bud Light is also sold in Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Sweden, and Columbia. Even with the sale in these 7 countries, Bud Light managed to be the top selling brand in the world until the Chinese brand, Snow, overtook it in the last 2 years. The ranking of 10 top in US are as follows, according to available data."

1. Bud Light
2. Budweiser
3. Miller Lite
4. Coors Light
5. Corona Extra
6. Natural Light
7. Heineken
8. Michelob Ultra Light
9. Busch Light
10. Miller High Life

Doesn't mean it's any good. People swarm to McDonalds all day long too...

IMHO all 10 of those beers up there are crap.

I should say that I like very dark beers that actually taste like something other than the way cat piss smells. LOL.

What aggravates me the most is when the big breweries create a new line specifically mimicking craft breweries in appearance/packaging. Coores got me the other day with Third Shift. Turns out its just coores with food coloring (that's what it tasted like anyway)

I hear ya Pete. I normally don't drink anything on that list, either. Make mine a Pacifico!

Hell, I bought a six-pack of an old favorite at Total Wine recently - 'Old Chub.' Scotch Ale! Potent stuff!!

I am still suprised there are boaters on this site that ask who would drink Bud Light or other domestic/ light beer. When you are on the dock or at the sandbar, who drinks the other beer? I certainly see a vast majority or Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Light. Do you "beer connesours" tell everyone to help themselve to your double malt hops blast taosted grannola and oatmeal 90 minute hippie brews? How long do those 12 bottles last? How many chicks take you up on your 300 calorie a bottle offer? If I could have 6 drinks all day at the sandbar, they would be liquor drinks. I can drink light beer all day long.

I sometimes drink light beer when volume is called for.
I am curious why you refer to microbreweries as hippy beers though.
