Did you have on your UNIFORM? She just wanted your ADDRESS!

Unlikely, nice as that would be.

I have a son who is 36 years old. I should have showed my Medicare card.

Regards,
Actually I was in plain clothes at Wal Mart. On a side note, dont you just hate those uniform shorts they make us wear while on duty. I might as well be wearing knee length board shorts..

We went in walmart yesterday and damn sure only some 12ga shells on the shelf.. We go to academy and their shelves are full and no limit on any purchases...

Why in the F is walmart the only store selling out of ammo?

I still don't understand this, all our gun stores and sporting goods stores have plenty of ammo all of our wally worlds are sold out.

Every store here is sold out (Bass Pro, 4 local gun shops, 2 Walmarts, Dick's, etc.) .22, 9mm, .40, .45, .223, 5.56, .308 are all impossible to find unless you want to pay ridiculous prices from a private seller.

I have the impression that WalMart is not really a pro-gun company. With their bulk buying power they could kick the life out of the local fire arms and ammo market if they were but they don't push hard in that product line.

Same here in Central FL. I just happen to be lucky walking in the other day, before that I called 5 local Wally World, Basspro and Gander Mtn for at least 6-8 weeks. no luck. I bought 100 rds of 9mm 124 JHP from a local gun store for 75 bucks, kinda overpaid but I didn't have much 9mm ammo. What is Academy ? A sporting good store ? Never heard of them !

Our Gander Mountain has been staying fairly well stocked, and gets shipments quite regularly. Stumbled on a pallet of bulk 9mm one day, and .40S&W on another. Last time there, they had a bunch of .223 and 9mm, as well as a little .22LR that got snapped up really quickly. The Walmarts around here seem to get a little bit at a time, but I haven't had the time to figure out what the shipment routines are like.

Anyway, kind of interesting that GM now has some of the better ammo pricing and availability - they always seemed to be the highest price retailer before the mad rush began . . . all of the Dick's Sporting Goods have been wiped out of ammo for a while and it does not appear that they have been getting any new stock at all . . .

They are. I stopped by my LGS yesterday and they had 9 RRA AR 15s on the shelf for $1350 or so. They had a ton of 9mm ammo for $390 per 1000 round box. They said the 556 ammo would be in any day and will sell for $.50 per round if you buy 1000 or more. They had lpk's, and many other parts at reasonable prices. If anybody needs anything, let me know and i will help as much as is legal/possible. Good to see things returning to normal.

South Florida is the same as well. Although Bass Pro did have a decent supply of shot gun shells

Sad part is prices are still high. 5.56 for $0.50 each is nuts 9mm 1000rd for $390 is crazy

Hope things go back to what it was 5.56. $0.30ea and 1000 9mm for $220 or less

Still decent deals to be found if you are patient.

The 9mm I got from GM was just a couple weeks ago - Rem UMC 1000 rds for $250

Also got Rem UMC .40S&W 500 rds from GM for $200 last week

Both a little higher than what they were before the rush but not too bad at present
