Nice video.

Looks like a shotgun start at a big Bass tournament.

It looks like it would take their heads off if it flipped.

The part that I love the most is the driver hasn't got a thing to say about all of it because the throttle person keeps them in the flames.

They started running the P1 class in the annual race here when the big boys decided it was not worth the effort. I'll bet half the CC's anchored out spectating could've lapped the P1's in less than three laps! I understand class racing but geez, at least run something a little faster than the average boat at the launching ramp!

Those things run 70+ when the water isn't so rough. The 40ft 180mph race boats cost over $1 million, these things can be bought for less than $50K. Having 15-20 plus boats run is much more appealing vs the 2-4 180mph boats that you see in the US. I've seen a number of actual US racers wish something like this existed here.

BTW: No Fing way I'm doing it though!!!

Oh I know what the big boys cost to build and campaign. Maybe to the general public seeing a lot of boats is better but there's something about the smell of JP4 or Kerosene when one of the turbine blasts by at warp speed that gets the blood flowing! I've been 140 on the water several times and it was an adrenelin rush for sure but I would still LOVE to try 180! Doubt anyone's going to let me though so unless I build one I'll have to keep dreaming.

We got garvey races in south Jersey, they do 70+ and drivers fly out in turns, then the next guy runs em over and makes scrambled egg out of him, NICE!
