Could have been crushed by the landing gear or they also could have been beheaded by those props.

That landing strip may not be to LONG but it appears to have plenty of WIDTH.

It looks like the road is on top of a small berm and the pilot didn't take that into account on his approach. I'll bet he got to spend some time in front of a review board and spent some time grounded...too close for comfort!!
