You have a week or so to let NMFS know if you would like to have your fishery destroyed (again) by the re-introdution of surface longlining.
Doesnt have to be long, or even all that smart, just let your opinion be known for the public record. Makes it harder for them to ignore us when they have 150 emails saying do not open it and 10 long liners asking them to open it.
WRITE AN EMAIL NOW!

"To all my swordfishing friends. Inexplicably, NMFS has decided it may like to allow surface longlining for swordfish in the Florida Straits. As you may remember the fishery was completely wiped out by this exact same activity before it was banned a decade ago. If they allow it back in the South Atlantic, our daytime fishey will most certainly crash.
They are taking public comment in this "proposal" for a few more days. The following link has all you need to drop them a note with your opinion of having your fishery destroyed for the profit of a few.
Im writing mine now. So should you. Even if its just 3 sentences, ...or one, your opinion is heard and officially part of the public record.
Its harder for them to ignore a larger number of written comments....."

This man needs to hear from you: NMFS.HMSEFP.2013@noaa.gov His name is Craig Cockrell
