Eating pizza with a knife and fork is like having some else pick your nose....it just takes all the fun away.

Eating pizza with a knife and fork is like using a knife and fork to eat barbequed spare ribs or chicken wings.

Eating pizza with a knife and fork is like, heck, should I be using a straw to drink my beer or should I just be using a glass?

I agree, I know, I consent. However, South Florida bound. I seen people in California eat it with a damn knife and fork and laughed so hard I had tears coming from my eyes.

I did find a pretty decent place in Pompano Beach of Federal Hwy., last time I was there.

Maybe so, but the best pie I've ever had the pleasure to sink my teeth into was from Canmore, Alberta. It was the best by a country mile.

There are situations when I might tackle a pizza with a knife and fork, but they are rare. For instance a pizza that will not structurally support itself and its toppings must be dealt with in a way that one does not lose toppings. In this case it is best to attack the floppy crust pizza with a fork and knife, but only for the first couple bites. As soon as the structural integrity is sufficient any real man will toss the fork and knife and go in with a hands only approach. Damn, now I'm hungry!

Nah that's when you put a second piece on top (face to face) and slightly fold the two pieces and quickly jam it into your mouth while your chin is just inches off the plate. ...

I've used that approach as well! Pizza doesn't survive very long in my presence!

When I was in South Africa back in the 80's I ordered a "slice" and they all looked at me like I was crazy. "A slice of what" was the question. Turns oout they only sell a whole pie and yes they eat it with a knife and fork. I got more looks when I grabbed a slice of my pie, folded it and took a bite. Being young and dumb I said, "Watch, you might learn something." Dumb American.

We make our own pizza on our grill. It's the best pizza *ever*... and I've had some of the very best.

I will tell you that it's a myth that you can't get GREAT pizza in SE Florida. We've found a few places that are excellent!!! Florida, like anywhere else, is a place where you have to search for what you want. It's just a slightly harder hunt down here.

What do great pizza and terrible pizza have in common? You can get either one, anywhere you go.

Don't be a technosnob. Whatever it takes to get the food in your mouth is fine as long as you don't gross out everybody else.

Pizza. Pizza good! Yum.

I've eaten pizza in many places around the country........... imo, the best pizza is a simple slice of cheese in NYC.

CT pizza sucks. (and I've lived here 40 years)
