Default no land line, using cell, what to do about fax?

if you do very occasional faxing how do you do that if you have a cell phone and no land line?
I thought about the local grocery store but am trying to send credit card info and I thought fax machines all stored a copy of the sent message?

You can get a email fax account, or you can make copies and scan them into your computer. These options assume you have a computer, internet, and copy-fax-scanner machine.

Wouldn't worry about it.

Fax anyway.

You pass your credit card info to all manner of people in your daily goings on.

There are so many ways a merchant can store and hold and view all your CC or Debit card info, unless you know they are PCI compliant, with a satallite instead of a phone line, etc. Not many med or small merchants are, costs too much. In other words, just about all those stand alone terminals in small retail establishments are non-pci compliant these days. They are paying about $30.00 extra a month due to that. So like another answer said, don't worry about it cause many people you present your card to store and can review your info anytime they want.

Lots of online fax services, as long as you have a scanner at home.. (or can "print" any documents you want to fax to PDF etc)

I still have a home fax machine but it's been on the fritz. I take faxes to my local UPS store. I think it's a well run place and trustworthy.

I agree on the credit card data security comments above, however.

unlike in the us you can not make a reservation by phone, as they want a signature also.
I am sure this hurts business in south america, and central america too

Yes, believe it or not there is some correspondence that only occurs by fax. I use myfax.com and it works pretty well for a couple of bucks a month.

I dont think myfax.com is secure, its still over the internet, not good for a credit card numberregular faxing over a land line is more secure
