Default Is this a SCAM

I am looking for an ATV for my hunting lease this year. I emailed about one on Craigslist ans this was the reply. Let me know what u think.

This 2007 HONDA 4X4 RINCON 680 EFI WITH TRAILER & SNOW PLOW CLEAN runs and drives excellent. It has been extremely well maintained with a full service history. It has no leaks or drips, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions with a clear title free of encumbrances and liens. At the moment I'm stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska making final preparations before deploying to Afghanistan with the U.S. Convoy. The atv is here with me. But you don`t have to worry because the shipping is free to your location.I have dropped my price to $1623 (purchase price) since this is an Urgent Sale! And I need to sell it before September 30th, when I will be deployed in Afghanistan with my platoon replacing the troops scheduled to come home.If you're interested to conclude this purchase in a timely manner email me your: Full Name and Shipping address, to open a case with Amazon. They will contact you to explain the entire procedure. The financial part will be managed by them, which means that you will have a 10 days inspection period before committing to buy the atv. In this way both, buyer and seller are 100% covered during the steps of this transaction.

Hope to hear from you soon!

The language is always the give away. If the response doesn't sound like your HS English teacher , or me, or you, or Bubba-better run.

SCAM written all over it.

Take this line: "slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions "

Who says 100% working and looking conditions? Probably not being deployed to Afghanistan, but already living in Afghanistan!!!!!!!

Sounds like a SCAM but ask for the name of his CO and call around. Ask him for photos of the base including the guard entrance.

ANY and EVERY time that you see the following:

a. I can't be reached, but a shipping company is standing by...........

b. Shipping is FREE (dead giveaway)

c. See if you like it, or send it back (dead giveaway)

The place that you send money will NOT refund your money; whether or not you ever get or try the machine.

it's too good to be true....caveat emptor. The real world doesn't work like that...would you sell YOUR vehicle under those conditions?

Well Vanesa James is actualy a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, who was stationed at Icarus Base. She is a member of the team sent and later trapped aboard the Ancient vessel Destiny

so this must be real

Is what the scam? The listing is so obvious that I'm wondering if the OP is asking if his thread is a scam.

No question it's a scam, I received an email that was worded almost exactly like this. I wrote back "f off you scamming loser". I got an email back "f yourself." I must have hit a nerve.

that machine if it actually existed would surely be worth way more in Alaska than the lower 48 (lower 58 if you are an obongo voter) because they have to have everything shipped up there plus ATVs and similar are valuable work vehicles up there
