Default Daughter's BF put water in her tank.

Can't prove it though.

I am draining the tank and have almost pure water coming from the fuel rail. Think adding fresh gas with stabil and pumping the rail for a while til I see gas will work or am I in for major misery like that SOB BF ?

2001 Ford Windstar BTW

Thanks

should be fine, had that happen to an Audi A6 (x-wife topped it off for me) when I got the last of my stuff out of the house,

got it home pulled the fuel line at the fuel rail pumped it out, added fresh gas some water remover and stp fuel treatment, and a little marvel mystery oil to help relube the injectors and pumps....

remember water sinks in the gas tank so there will be some residual so get some drygas to help out, if the car is E85 approved use that, nothing soaks up water like ethanol based gas...

Drove that car another 15000 miles with no issues.....

That is really messed up, and warrants an a$$ whoopin. But I think if you do like Mardi-Gras said you will be fine. i was at my local gas station, there was a crowd around a 1972 chevy Nova. I asked the young gas attendant what was going on, he told me that a woman wanted to put some Antifreeze in her radiator, but put it in the oil fill instead. now she had a Gal. in her oil. Needless to say the woman was pretty upset. I don't understand why she wanted to do it herself at a FULL SERVICE station.

My daughters last and present boyfriend are both terrified of me. There was 1 episode after she broke up with the previous one. He was drunk or whatever and kept texting and calling her one night. She just ignored him but he kept it up. I sent him 1 text with no message (blank screen). He got the message and it's been over 2 yrs and not a peep out of him. I just recently erased his and his fathers cell phone numbers out of my phone.

My daughter was with her current boyfriend in Miami at his grandparents house awhile back. They were having issues leading up to the trip and we were uneasy about her going. She was 19 so we let her make most of her own decisions.

Sure enough they got in a fight down there and she was on the phone crying to her mom. I grabbed the phone and told her to tell him to take her to the airport immediately. She expressed concern that he wouldn't be willing to do that and would just get madder. I hung up the phone and was knocking on the grandparents door in about 4 hours.

When it comes to family I don't play.

I would make it perfectly clear to the boyfriend that water pouring, as well as any other form of disrespect, will not be tolerated. If I were you I would nip that shit in the bud right now. These things are generally a progression and will get worse if not addressed.

I'm like baypro, when it comes to family, I won't tolerate any BS... My daughters 17 she's my only child and everything I do is for her. When she was born its was a changing point in my life that made me who I am today .... I'm 44 yrs old and got into a major but kicking fest back in may, some punk kids I called it grabbed their growing while talking junk to her and I snapped...could have turned out bad because I'm a carry 24-7 guy...nip it in the bud...

Thanks for the replies and the MM Oil suggestion.

The BF is headed for trouble if he hangs around this area and I see him again.
The local Sheriff is involved and this little punk is not a minor so fair game for some attitude adjustment.

car will be fine. Have two 250 gal tanks outside. One has gas, other has diesel. Boy I raised decided to visit and I told him I would help him out on the fuel. I didn't mean for him to put diesel in a gas truck but about a hour and half worth of work and a battery charger we got him back cooking with gas.
BTW,, the diesel cleaned his system out and the truck ran the best it ever had.
Nothing you can do but deal with it unless you can prove it in court. Locking gas caps are cheap insurance since you know it could happen again.

Know what potato chips look like spread out on a counter..... Straight Sulfuric acid makes paint look the same way in about 5 hours. .... Just leave the cell phone at home that late at night!!!

I'd call the cops make a report hell take out a warrant if you want to but if this idiot did this it will only escalate in the future.

I would think draining the tank and filling back with gas and adding alcohol. Alcohol mixes therefore allowing an internal combustion engine to burn the small amounts of water that remains that mix and burns without harming the engine..

Miss fueling happens very day. On the 31st we have to cut into a water tank on a commercial vessel where diesel was accidentally pumped. On the weekends the on going "topping off the rod holders", during the week (usually on Fridays) gas in the diesel pickups. Came across one. boat that had fertilizer in the fill neck.
Thankgoodness for miss fueling, it keeps me busy.

I don't know the age of the parties involved, if they're still kids (19-20) you have to remember he's reacting to something she did. If they are in their mid 20's she has to pick them better, I'd be letting her deal with the outcome. Now if it was your house he did it at, he's got a problem if he steps on the property again.
