Default Ditch bag

Are there any good prepacked ditch bags out there? I am looking for something that is well made and full of all the stuff you would need to go overboard with. Would I be better off making my own from scratch? If so what is a good bag to start filling? I am sure the bag should float with all it's contents and be highly visible and mabe even have a strobe on it that would activate in salt water? Other than the obvious stuff like flares and radios, what would be some good uncommon items to have in it?

Thanks. I will bookmark that, if I have to build my own. My first choice is one that comes preloaded with 90% of everything I need.

if you do build one I would avoid the ACR bag. every single zipper on mine is broken. I do not over stuff ,bang, destroy or otherwise abuse stuff.

My ACR bag is going on 7 years now. Only problem is some of the snaps on the velcro tab to hold it on the boat broke. Velcro still holds it.

Don't think there is anything ready to go on the market.

Thanks dpowell! Swim goggles are something I wouldn't have thought of.

Are there any prepacked bags that are good to start with, then add to.

No. No such thing as a prepacked ditch bag. It would be expensive to include the items listed so far-on the order of $1000, so it's up to each person to decide what they need/can afford in their own bag.

By the time I was done buying all the stuff I would want to have with me in my life raft I realized I needed two ditch bags. Both of my bags are the yellow ones sold by ARC. The oldest one is at least seven years old and other than being a little dirty, everything works fine.
