Talking Hello to everyone I'm Tommy from Miami

Hello to all I'm finally a boat owner. I've bought myself a 2012, 23 open contender with twin 150s four strokes Yamahas. I really need some help with getting myself ready for the boat and would like to ask for advice on what I need to get started. Ive gotten the garmin 4212 with b164 transducer, gsd 24, garmin VHF 200. Is there anything you all think Im missing ?!? Thanks in advance, Tommy

First thing is safety gear as mentioned above then, How many rod holders do you have on the boat? Center rigger ? Pick up a bunch of Penn 50 wides on stand up rods or equivalent, gimble belt(s), gaffs, spreader bars, trolling lures, ballyhoo rigs, and go and catch fish and have tons of fun.

Man dats what its all about.

Good luck with your new boat

They are building the boat so I have about a 6 week wait period which sucks. Led lighting still haven't made a choice on. Boater class already done and in the wallet. I have basic safety stuff. But just wanted input on like eripb and ditch bag must.
