Crazy. Looks like a gloomy, rainy day, not smog. Yuck.

I am more shocked by the second picture than the first. It is rare when you can see the sky like that in Beijing. The traffic in that city is becoming disfunctional. I took this pic from the Hilton Hotel. This is a typical day in Beijing.

I blame most of our world's environmental problems on overpopulation.

How in the world do you look at those photos and come to that conclusion? Do you not understand the manufacturing competitive advantage non-existent environmental standards give Brazil, Russia, India, China?

Yes those countries have a manufacturing advantage but if the world didn't have so many dam people........we wouldn't need to produce so much stuff.

What environmental problems existed when only the indians roamed the US????

WE trade with them IE buy there goods they buy ours . We are restricted to follow the EPA and numerous other rules to guard the environment here ,they do not thus not an even playing field. That means they take our jobs and our money in spite of the environment!

OK, I think I understand.

You want American cities to look like the pictures posted above.

Since the EPA is evil, and pollution is good. Got it.

We should really go back to the "good ole days" and dump heavy minerals into the water. Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, etc into the air. Hell, lets throw some benzene in ther for good measure.

Big business will police themselves, just like China.

It is not fog. Was there for 2 weeks once and it looked like that every single day. It is very rare that I go there and can see the sun.

but if the world didn't have so many dam people.

Guess we better start killing some off. We could start in this country by eliminating elder-care, aborting every third pregnancy, and forced sterilization of every third living child. It would take a couple of generations, but we can dooo it ...
