Default Color Scheme Help - AwlGrip on a 23 Potter SeaCraft

Getting ready to paint a 23 SeaCraft. Everything will be painted..... bottom, sides and interior with AwlGrip. I can paint any color combination I am LEANING towards a white bottom, white interior, Fighting Lady Yellow sides and a narrow black boot-stripe.

But my decision can be changed. Any suggestions that you favor?

I'm leaning towards something like this shown on a 20 SeaCraft rebuilt by another THT member.

I like the color Fighting Lady Yellow. Black boot stripe should look good too. IMO a yellow/black combo is a somewhat harsh contrast as well as pretty run of the mill (no offense intended).

You may want to consider other colors that compliment the Fighting Lady Yellow. Perhaps a deep burgundy boot stripe may contrast very well and look good too.

I've sprayed both Awlgrip and Imron over the past 20 years or so. Both are good paints. Awlgrip is better though IMO. If you can swing it clear coat the hull & boot stripe. It'll look awesome.

Pics please when the job is completed.

Good luck with her.

Yellow is good. I like the Ice Blue or whatever it's called. The most different I think is light grey (think almost silver). You don't see it often and it can look really clean. Not sure how it will polish though...

I just did my mako flag Blue on hillsides and blue tone white on top. It looks really nice.

I would like to see one in light gray with snow white topsides and bottom with a canary yellow boot stripe. I like seafoam too!

Strick's boat is a work of art. I only like FY on larger boats myself. I like the SeaFoam, Auquamist (like I did on the Mako) and Ice Blues for 23's and smaller. Mine is Awlgrip Off White revisited inside liner, cap and Durabak Beige non-skid.
