Default Connley Fishing is a class act

Many times here on THT we get a suppliers that do an outstanding job selling their goods. One of the newer guys to join those ranks is Connley Fishing.

A few months ago Bryan was offering some near shore lighter weight rods and after some exchanges of emails and pictures I signed up for a pair. What showed up was a pair of very nicely built rods but unfortunately they were a little heavier than what we were talking about. They were more than willing to take them back but personally they were such a nice product and I thought it would be more hassle than I wanted plus I knew I'd use them anyway. All ended just fine with respect shown to each other. There were absolutely no hard feelings.

Two days ago I get an email from FedX that I missed a delivery needing a signature. No big deal I thought as I just bought a Avet reel from a guy here so they will come Weds. I had a painter working in the house and he took delivery of the package yesterday. Well the package was a tube and I scratched my head wondering what the hell is this?? Needless to say it was a pair of rods from Connley! It was totally unexpected and needless to say left me standing surprised. The attention to detail once again is on par with any of my other top rated gear from Cape Fear, St. Croix, G. Loomis, and any of my other custom made gear. Bryan even remembered the name of my boat and it's applied to the rod!!

I PMed Bryan and his response was basically you did not get exactly what you expected and even though you kept the rods we wanted you really happy.

Needless to say I'm sending Bryan a check for my presents and these rods were dead on to what we talked about.

Thank you again Bryan for an outstanding job.

Rob

Bryan is the best! All the rods I have are from him. Any future rod purchases I make, will always be from Connley rods!

Brian and Harold want to sell you good rods at a great price! Then they want to sell you a rod in six months, a year, two years, five years, and beyond! They are all about quality and service for the long haul. You can't go wrong doing business with them!
OK, they do have us fishing addicts figured out!

Yes, he is a great guy, I've known him about 18 years and used to park my boat on his front lawn.

Now as to the rods with the boat name, Mist, if you predecease me can I have them since coincidently you named your boat the same as mine??

Jack,

I was thinking about having some shirts done with a Destinated "north chapter" with the BW logo and some done with Destinated "south chapter" with the Sea Vee logo.

It would be a boater gang versus a bike or thug gang.

Hell, we could start a cult with a mid coast chapter if you sell another. There's a solid 1700 miles space between the boats.

Yes, I'll be sure you get the rods if I get the "snakes" on the other side. I do need to get back to my will so let me know how that works out for ya.

Rob, are these spinning rods or conventional? And how light are the new ones? I could be in the market for a couple of inshore spinning rods.

Conventional rods in 6-12 X 6'9". I'm now in Maine but the rods are still in Mass if you want to see them. Being custom made I'm sure it's not a problem having spinners. Much nicer rod than my St. Croix Premier spinner and feels about the same as my Loomis GL that I love for a lot less money. Nice flex tip with some backbone. My hunt is on for a nice pair of reels.

Let me know if you want to see them and we'll have a beer or three.

I visited the new shop today and the pictures on here do not do justice to the way the rods really look. Brian was not in but Harold was there and it was the easiest purchase I have ever made. I bought the sailfish 15-50 spinner and it looks great and cant wait to go fishing now
