Pay back is a bitch. Wonder if they have a real special rate for the US Army?

The one I see is advertising a 10K loan, 86% APR at $734/month for 84 months. Hell in a year and a half you have spent 10 grand on interest!

Could you imagine being so desperate for cash that you would consider a loan like that?

Huh? Racketeering would be a huuuuuge stretch but I don't see how you came to extortion. Do they have compromising photos of you and get you to take out a loan?

I don't know about extortoin or racketeering but it could be considered a willing rape.

With a hot curling iron.

Why would one need a loan of this type with interest rates not even realistic? Drugs ? Gambling debt to bad people?

I wonder, since it's an Indian company, on a reservation somewhere, and they don't have to adhere to "white man's laws", if a non Indian who doesn't live on their tribal lands, can just get the money and say screw you, I'm not paying.
Would they have any recourse?

I posted a thread about those loans a while back. I couldn't believe it when I read "116% interest"

LOL

Ya know - after the ass raping we gave them, I say let them have a little back. Some casinos and some 200% interest in exchange for all this land? I'd make that deal again.

Let's not forget the $7 a gal. fuel on the reservation if you're whitey. LOL.

They get away with it because they are on a reservation. LOL they are definitely getting us back. Here in Hollywood the Seminole Indians opened a gas station that's about $.15-20 cheaper than anywhere around.... They also have the hard rock and plenty of other places to take whitey's money

I think garret is referring to Usury not racketeering or extortion.... most states have Usury laws, normally the max is 25%....Payday advance Fees, and car title loans fees are a grey area in a lot of states.... I think that these native americans can charge whatever they want....

When I got out of college I worked for small finance company and felt dirty walking out of there..... but to put it in perspective....we gladly pay 100 for an ugly Tommy Bahama shirt made in Indonesia that cost .05 to make.
