Default 1997 K1500 U joints

Dropped the drive shaft to replace the U joints in my kids truck and was able to replace the back ones no problem but the front one is not cooperating. First off there is no C-clip like the back one had so I cut the joint off with a cut off wheel and still can't move the cap in either direction. What the hell is holding that thing in? I saw a couple blurbs about some kind of injected plastic and a torch is needed which is my plan z this afternoon. Does anybody have any other ideas? Thx.

Yep. goes back together with clips. Be sure to tap the joint to center it so the ends of the spider aren't bound up in the cups.

There is hardly any repair anymore, that you can't find a step-by-step on Google or Youtube, before you start.
