Default Chesapeake Bay Tides, Pooles Island

Never saw a high and low so irregular before.
How the hell do they know how to predict just how much the ebb and flood wil be.
I know, the moon, etc...but really, how?

So the graph shows the next incoming there almost no current, what is needed to make fish active to feed, then it goes out, level drops even more but the incoming at night will have more then twice the current and rise.

I have been out there on days knowing when the highs and lows were "supposed" to be and without wind to work against the tide, it never moved at all. That makes for a long day striper fishing when you bring clients with you.

I like this site for current. Not sure if this particular page gets all the way up to where you are but there is another page that does. http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/cur...ab2ac5.html#43
