Default Movin’ to Montana Soon .. Gonna be a Dental Floss Tycoon

Went to see Zappa plays Zappa, Tour De Frank last night here in town and WOW what a show. Dweezil can play the hell out of the guitar!! Has done his dad right, a lot of favorites from Frank and a smattering of new tunes (at least I didn’t recognize them from the old days). The band was really tight and full, there are some great musicians with him. The lead singer even sounded like Frank.
Glad I went to see them on a Tuesday night!

i saw Frank Zappa and the Mothers Of Invention in San Francisco in the early 70s. i looked and felt a little out of place with my US Navy high and tight haircut but it was crazy fun.

watch out where the huskys go and dont you eat that yellow snow......by todays standards those lyrics that seemed so distasteful to adults then are pretty tame

The first time I saw Frank Zappa and the Mothers Of Invention it was at a quaint university bar. The stage was a foot off the dance floor and if you wanted to sit on the edge of the stage to rest your feet and drink you could.....what a frigg'n night that was!

I forget what liquor is yellow, but crushed ice and that liquor = let's eat the yellow snow.....hey Franky, yah want another one. hahahaha - what a night! ~

They are in Raleighwood tonight, you should go. The Lincoln is a great venue also, much like the Norva where they played last night.

I couldn't say where she's coming' from, But I just met a lady named Dinah-Moe Humm
She stroll on over, say look here, bum, I got a forty dollar bill say you can't make me cum (Y'jes can't do it)
She made a bet with her sister who's a little dumb She could prove it any time all men was scum
I don't mind that she called me a bum, But I knew right away she was really gonna cum (So I got down to it)
I whipped off her bloomers'n stiffened my thumb An' applied rotation on her sugar plum
I poked'n stroked till my wrist got numb But I still didn't hear no Dinah-Moe Humm, Dinah-Moe Humm

Lowell George played rhythm and slide with the MOI way back when. Lowell liked his drugs. Frank was clean. Shame they don`t teach much music in school anymore.

Nothing like drinking and smoking with teeny sluts back in the day and playing Phi Zappa.

Even small college stations were afraid to play it.

Is Frank in the HOF?

As well he should be. Thanks for that.

Abba? Really??? Rock???

How about the popnroll HOF?

He was probably pissed that he dindn`t make Dancin` Fool risque enough to get air play.

Anyone remember the Tubes? They had a little Frank in them.
