Question Caneel Bay- Activities

Well I have finalized my plans for the summer to have my honeymoon in Caneel Bay, St John. I have booked a few dinners, etc but I figured I would turn to THT to see if anyone had any recommendations- Dinner, boat rental?, things to see/do?

I definitely plan to take in the local scenes but figured Iw ould see if anyone had any first hand experience!

Any input is always appreciated!

Default St Johns

Rent a boat, visit the BVI, buy some sea salt.

Rent a jeep, visit the other beaches on the island... if you are bored with yours or want to try snorkeling at other areas. Rent a boat, visit BVI. Have a captained boat take you to better snorkel sites. Go downtown and eat/drink. Consummate the marriage a few dozen times...

Get up with this guy for a full day of doing whatever you want to do, snorkel, beach hop, bar hop the BVI's. Capt John Brandy @ We went out with him last year and it was a blast!

And yes we got pretty shit faced by the end of the day!

We just got back from St. John on Saturday. Had an awesome time. We stayed in Cruz Bay although we walked around the Caneel property once. We rented a car for one day and drove the entire island including out to Coral Bay. Not much out there but the scenery is amazing. Make sure to eat breakfast at Donkey Dinner. Amazing breakfast in a unique setting. If you want to rent a boat on the cheap check out a inflatable dingy rental. We did a full day and visited all the beaches on the north shore. For dinner I would highly recommend Asolare and Fatty Crab For cheap drinks check out Driftwood David's in the Lumber Yard Complex. Also a great lunch spot. The only places we had bad food was in the touristy area/complex right by the ferry dock.

If you are into hiking you can actually leave Caneel Bay Resort and hike via Lind Point trail and you will end at the National Park visitors center in Cruz Bay. Probably a 30 minute hike.
