Going to Freeport and Nassau this coming week and I was wondering if there are any outstanding rums to purchase there ? Don't know if there are any bargains or not but any advice would be appreciated....

Rum is cheaper over there. The Appleton 12 year old rum was a really good price.

Zacapa 23 Year Old. It's from Guatemala and sells for around $40.00 for 750ml bottle here. Sip it like a good Scotch.

I run over to buy all my rum there, the $800 fuel bill kind of eats into the savings

Careful what you bring back.

I have heard of more boardings in the last two months than in the last two years in S Fla.

Check the laws very carefully. You can only bring back one liter of hard liquor.

Ole Nassau, brown Gold.

7 to 8 dollars a bottle.

Best rhum in the Bahamas,
better than Cuban rhum.

El dorado 15 year is considered the best reasonably priced rum. It sell for almost 30 here but I would bet it would be around 20 there.
