Default Whale Watching in Aug - North East

Any place up the NE Coast the you can recommend for a day or 2 to catch a whale Watching tour.

We're going to do Niagra Falls Canada for a few days Hit somewhere in between for a day or make a 12 hour Dive and head over to the Coast for 2-3 days.

Its on the Wifey's Bucket List along with Niagra Falls and after her year with Brain Surgery, I promised to take her...We can knock 2 off her list!

We'll have 2 teens and a 4lb Poodle as well so a recommendation for place to crash would be great as well! No 5 star needed, just a nice place is fine.

And if you have a boat and want to make some money so we don't have to go on a tour, let me know

Thanks for the Advice.

The Dolphin fleet, provincetown, cape cod, just off the end of Stellwagon Bank. The Four Gables Cottages are dog friendly. P-town is a great place to visit for a day or two.

Or not.

But that's just me. They do have a good WW fleet, but it's far from anything if you were not already heading there.

The New England Aquarium also runs a good whale watch, and with the 35knot catamarans, it can be fun on rough weather days .

Not knocking Niagara Falls, but keep your expectations low and you'll be fine.

The Captains fleet in Newburyport MA offers some excellent whale watching and theres more to do in town than some of the other locations.

We did N-F 20 + years ago. It was a shithole then on the US side. Canadian side was better but truthfully you could pass thru the place for an hour or two pit stop and be fine. Save some coins and stay in northern Maine then onto the Maine coast and work your way down. There are many good operators for whale watching.

I hope your wife is better after the brain surgery. One of my best friends wife just started that road and well...

Thank you she is for now, we'll see long term,
all the best to your friends, it's a long road, But One Day at a time.
We wound up at Hopkins in Baltimore after doing the Phila Hospitals, Jefferson & Univ of Penn, The 2 in Philly had opposing thoughts so we went with Hopkins and they elected the surgery that they did and we are now glad we did.

I've heard and read that about Niagra Falls, will be a a 2 Day trip. get in , take some pics of the family, do the Maid of the Mist and get out, head over to the Coast and drive down and spend a day or 2 here and there..... We have 8 days to do nothing.

The Catamarans look neat out of New England Aquarium, but we did the Boston trip a few years back, trying to go around the Big City.

Tried the Four Gables Last Night, but only Week Rental min for that period of the Summer, we're only looking for a day or 2 here and there.

Thank you for the info all, much appreciated. Keep it coming if you have any suggestions...and a place to lay down our head between Niagra and the East Coast.

Will research the other info provided.
