Default Angler's Edge Marine

Is it worth the $$$? Seems too good to be true.

I had a great experience selling a boat listed on Angler's Edge. I felt the cost was most reasonable. Good Luck!

I think so.

It's not that much more than listing it on Boat Trader yourself and it runs until it sells. My ad was pretty detailed with lots of pictures already, but Bob suggested another camara angle that after taking made lots of sense. He was also very responsive to any questions I had. The boat sold in 10 days to a buyer from Puerto Rico who saw it on Boat Trader.

I followed you thread but didn't realize it was with AEM. How did you arrange shipping to PR?

I've been back again and again to AEM...about 12 boats in the past 5 years. Using boattrader was expensive because monthly renewals during a period of time when boats don't sell quickly was killing all the profit.

Having a set price for advertising is a much better deal, IMO.

In addition, changing copy or price or photos is a snap when dealing with Bob Filger. Try that with boattrader and you'll learn how much AEM is worth to you.

I had a great experience with AEM. Sold the boat and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Bob is great. Sold my boat to Australia and walked me right thru all the steps for shipping. The whole process was so smooth and easy I almost thought it was a scam. Not so, just great service and communication.

He fills a good niche. If you fall into that, it seems to be an effective route and produces happy sellers.

Bob is the master of his game. Worth every penny. I thought I was good at selling stuff myself via craigslist, all the free sites. I tried for over a year to sell my last boat. Gave Bob a shot, and he had it sold within 2 weeks, to an Aussie, for several grand more than what I was trying to get for it myself.

Sold my bowrider last summer in ~6 weeks w/ them. Prior to that, I had it up in a couple of placed (BoatTrader.com, CL, a couple of posts on private forums, etc...) for about 2 months with minimal traffic. After listing w/ Angler's Edge, I got a lot of calls from people saying they saw my boat on some site I never even heard of, but it got the job done. Wish I would've done it earlier in the season - I may have been able to get a few extra bucks out of the deal. Money well spent, IMO.

Sold two boats through Angler's Edge -- a 28 ft cruiser and a 38 ft sailboat -- both within 4-8 weeks if I recall. You have to do some of the work yourself, but Bob is helpful with advice and it gets you a lot of advertising.

For a while I only had it listed here. When I got serious I decided to use AE. While THT is a great community, there are so many potential buyers out there who have never even heard of THT.

Regarding shipping, the buyer had everything lined up already. They were on a 1 week mission to FL with cash. They rented a Uhaul and towed it from Orlando to Ft Lauderdale.

I've sold 4 boats thru AEM. All I need is the exposure Bob provides me, not a broker who doesn't know squat about my boat trying to sell it for me. Definately worth the money, what is it $250 versus 10%???? Easy no brainer.

I, too had a good experience selling our WorldCat last year.

His sites give a lot of exposure...what we needed for a niche boat like a cat.

Our buyer came from California to Florida.
