Default Yellowfin Tuna in Sushi Linked to Salmonella Outbreak

Don't eat the sushi!

A yellowfin tuna product used to make dishes like sushi and sashimi sold at restaurants and grocery stores has been linked with an outbreak of salmonella that has sickened more than 100 people in 20 states including Connecticut (and New York), according to an article in the New Haven Register.

The Food and Drug Administration said 116 illnesses have been reported, including 12 people who have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.

FYI, sushi = rice...

But yeah, the crap they make "spicy tuna" out of is not sashimi grade tuna. It is also known as "tuna scrape". Its basicly the pink slime of fish. Don't eat it. Its a paste they mix in wasabi paste with and get it dirt cheap. Real sushi restuarants with real sushi chefs would never serve this crap.
