Default Secret Service agents in dispute over the bill for Hookers...

11 agents sent home.
This is one headline I had never thought I would see.

Interesting that they have "tolerance zones". One would think that because of the circles the prostitutes run in, that would be a major security breach and always a "no no".

I thought Secret Service agents were supposed to be smart. Did they really think a dispute with a Columbian woman was going to end quietly?

Yes, one would think this is a major security breach. One also wonders at the wisdom of a US President visiting Columbia. Somebody just managed to get rid of the local Secret Service squad who have experience with the local scene and actors.

Not sure why this even made the news. So they slept with some hookers. I am sure that has never happened before.

Perhaps their mission was to get experience with the local scene

These guys can be readily blackmailed by the hookers. The Hotel Mgr can also blackmail these assholes. By definition, they have become security risks. I don't care if they were "off duty." Who knows if the hookers were planting bugs in the rooms in an attempt to glean info. (honey pot trap)

They weren't sent down there on "vacation." The taxpayers are putting them up. (All expenses paid) Taxpayers shouldn't expect their public servants to whore around in foreign countries when away on duty.

Would you want your employees bringing this type attention to your company while they are out "on the town?"

Bad guys can threaten to tell their wives, intimidate these idiots to "look the other way" when the POTUS is in town.

Lots and lots of reasons to care.

If that ONE guy had just paid his 47 bucks none of this would have come up. You know the other ten are like "Dude, really?"

That must have been more than his daily per diem.

This is a very serious breech of protocol, policy & procedure for the protectors. It sounds like this group were added to the regular detail and they took it as a paid vacation while waiting for the White House detail. Not abnormal to bring in additional agents as well as the uniform officers for some locations.
