I didn't see the guy resisting at any point in time, yet the PO kept yelling, "Stop resisting", "stop resisting". Is he for real?

So the guy fell down some steps and is considered suicidal?
Then because he'd rather go to bed than the psych ward he's resisting? I thought one can only resist arrest, but he wasn't being arrested.

That is their usual modus operandi.

I actually found myself laughing at this, kind of a gallows humor.

Does anybody remember those old Saturday Night Live skits "Dave Mable Danger Probe"?

Where Dan Aykroyd, and his Danger Probe Unit, would come busting in on an otherwise innocuous scene, and start beating the crap out of everybody?

I felt like I was watching a Second City TV skit..................LOL............sorry

I wouldn't doubt that they're trained to do so while distributing the beat down.

I can't count the number of times I've seen this done on COPS.

"Stop resisting!" "Stop resisting!"

In Florida, if someone makes a crediable threat to commit suicide then yes they can be taken into custody (under involuntary conditions) for a Baker Act (it is not an arrest). More than once I have had old people that I have been dealing with that have a firearm stashed right in the chair they are sitting.... As far as the continued tazing, I guess that will be worked out in court...

Wish we could see more, but was the "credible threat" based on the premiss that the fall on the steps was a suicide attempt?......sorry again; really shouldn't be laughing at this......

Maybe the Golden Gate Bridge was too long a drive...........

McFarland actually said that he was in so much pain that he'd shoot himself in the head if he had a gun. It was all hyberbole, but the Sheriff's Deputy thought otherwise.

Lets see, person in question states "I have a heart condition" PO stuns him 3 times!

There has to be a better way.

If someone has a heart attack after being strapped in "old sparky", do they perform CPR to revive him before throwing the switch?

Just curious.............

I think a jury agreed. What is the point of talking about a several year old case that has been settled

No offense but why did you add to the topic?

It was a new case to me, so I posted about it, added comments as I felt they were needed as did a dozen or so others.

Now, what would you like ot talk about?
