$3.89 here and yes it is noticeable. On my way home I used to see many restaurant parking lots full, now most look like ghost towns.

Had to run to Greenville NC today. Stopped by my tuners in Vanceboro and we did a little tweaking on the Saturn Sky. Cleared the millage and adv 30.2 mpg coming home up from 27.3. Not two shabby for a 12 second sports car. If what they say is true we will see 5 dollar a gal gas before the end of summer. I've already seen a big difference in people eating out but the holiday traffic was not affected. Folks are going to visit no matter what they pay for fuel.
Both cars do have to have 93. Thats the tough part.

Up here in CT today, went to fill up the camaro, 4.23 for 87 octane it was 4.70 ish for 93.

At this point I might just tow the boat to the dock, put it in the water, tie her up in the slip and take her out once or twice, and my boat's motor is NOTHING compared to some of you guys.

Holding at 3.75 around Charleston - plenty of boats on the water this weekend and the weather was so-so, the city is setting tourism records, boat ramps on way into work are packed (this is something you take not of on way into work).

Our State legislature just passed a cap on the State wholesale tax (x percentage of wholesale price) when the wholesale price goes above 320 or something.

The savings......................1.5 cents per gallon..............I suppose it may be more significant as the prices rise....

I roam around the west side of north dade/ south broward county... anything under $4 for 87 oct is a rare and weird ocurrence.... maybe at costco or one of those that you get a discount with a membership, otherwise $4,09/$4,19 is the norm.

I droped my wife at MIA the Thursday before last, and 87 oct at the station next to the airport was at $5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if it serves as an indicator, most gas stations already raised the limit from $75 to $100 per purchase.... and with that I'm still not filling all the way up.

Holy shit, you guys have it easy. They are giving the gas to you guys.

I pay and have been paying over 4.00 for the last year. Right now 87 is 4.49. Diesel was 4.59 last time I saw it. When the rest of the country was paying 3.00, we were paying 3.90.

I buy ethanol free for the boat. I just bought 16 gallons. That was 5.99 plus state tax.
16 gallons x 5.99 per gallon = 98.84+ 7.25% state tax because it is off raod fuel(no ethanol)so you get 98.84=7.17= 106.01 for 16 gallons for the boat.

It is going to be an expensive year.

The economy isn't "halting", just look at your 401K statement. Of course, if you don't own any stocks or mutual funds, and you're out of work, and your house is underwater, then maybe you can complain. But I've been seeing a steady, MONTHLY 4% growth on my 401K for the past 6 months.

Oddly this is the same price of gas after Katrina. Sure, many of us made adjustments to our driving routines and many of us took the boat out a few less times, but the vast majority of US here in THT still drove to work every day and still went fishing every weekend and still drank beer in the evenings.

Was near or at 4/Gal around here for sometime. However over the last week the price has moderated to mid 3.70's
