Default Am I cheap? Or nuts?

Was in West Marine's new super store on Rt 1 in Westbrook, CT today. (Very nice and big!) I looked at some Sebile striper plugs--the big jointed type. They were over $40!!! Now I'm not broke but----$40 for 1 plug??? I can buy 20 fresh bunkers for that or about 30 eels! Or 9 gallons of gas.

Pluggy,

Those expensive plastic plugs catch fisherman much better than fish. Stick with the live bait.

My buddy is a pretty solid fisherman for striper. He showed up one day at the canal with one of those plugs. He was catching stripers while most on the rocks came up empty. He was blown away and had several of the old timers stop by to talk to him about it.

There is a time and place for many things and at times it will not make a difference, but he personally experienced one of the times it did make a difference. He still only uses them when all else fails.
