I'm going to take Clemson on this one for next year. Give Spurrier a couple years to teach the offensive scheme and recruit his type of players and he will have the gamecocks up and running.

Somewhat off topic .... but,

When I lived in Cola they had just gotten Holtz. He hired his son and the prevailing thought was that Skip would take over the reins when Lou retired. Well, I left in '01 and lost touch with the buzz so to speak. What happened???

Don't know thubert57....I don't know if there ever was a deal, but who knows...you are right that consensus was for Skip to take over by many people, but more than likely rumor or wishful thinking. The whole thing just seems strange....I'm not so certain that Holtz isn't going to be the new A.D., but I believe his wife is having problems w/ cancer again and he has made it clear she comes first. Anyway, it was a shame for his career to end the way it did by having players on both sides act like a bunch of fools....he deserved better.

rumor has it that NHC (national health care) is going to take over administration for williams brice stadium. They are properly equiped to care for both the aging staff, and the regular a$$ kickings that the chickens are going to take this year, that is, if they have enough players to get out of jail in time for the season.

/yes, im biased, im a clemson grad

I thought Skip took the head coach job at ECU.

Skip Holtz did take the job with ECU, there were tons of rumors flying all over the place about who was going to take that position, at one point it was sounding like Danny Ford might take it. there was a couple of interviews with Ford where his answer concerning the possibility was "no comment"

Clemson may win more games next year but they'll always be mediocre with Fat Boy on the staff. When he was at Carolina, you never knew when you were going to beat Georgia or lose to Vandy. Kind of like beating Miami and losing to Duke.......

Well we BIT** slapped a LEGEND into retirement so bring on another

Seriously I think the Tigers better not rest on their butts for recruiting or ole Spurrier we mop them up, however I think Spurrier is going to have a hard time recruiting his Florida boys now that he is out of state.

We will see but sure do look forward to knocking that smirk off his face.
