Anyone have a DuroStar generator (DS4000S)? Receives good reviews on Amazon. Would only use when needed for power outage...no camping or any recreational use.

I'll admit, I've never heard of the brand. Can't see how you can go wrong for the price. I have a similar Generac that "everyone" said was a piece of crap that I bought in 1982 and it still runs.

The wattage will be fine for the frig, some lights, a window AC unit etc.. Mine was used during several hurricane and blizzard outages and on job sites. Know I have an electric start unit that will run most of the house, but my neighbor was real happy that I still had the old one after Irene (7 days W/O power).
