Default NC now advertising for food stamps?

I was appalled to hear a radio commercial today advertising for North Carolina's food stamp program. The state is border-line losing it's employee health insurance program, and yet they find the money to advertise for handouts. Sorry, but that's exactly what is wrong with the world

It most likely ain't N.C. actually paying for the actual advertising, though deeper digging is advisable... The advertising is most likely paid for and brought to by "The to big to fail Banks"

Unemployment and Food Stamps are actually administrated and dispersed more or less the same way:

Bryce Covert at New Deal 2.0 reported earlier this month that, “big banks are making a tidy profit by acting as middlemen for what should be publicly provided services.” U.S. Bancorp made $357 million in revenue from its unemployment benefit card division — more than one-fourth of its total revenue. Meanwhile JP Morgan “made $5.47 billion in net revenue for most of last year in the division that handles food stamp cards.”

Source

More and deeper digging is desirable but I'd bet you'll find a Bank behind it somewhere..

I wish they would do away with the food stamps. I know certain people close to me that get them. They have more extra income than I do and I make more. It makes you mad too when you go to walmart with one of them and when you pick up a grocery item they say " I'll wait, I can use my stamps for that." So many things I want to say.

Last weekend, two different stores, a total of 6 people in front of me with the red, white, and blue cards. Damn, they eat better than I do.

Comrade, how many times must we tell you? To each according to their need, from each according to their ability to give.

I know, its like the harder you work the less you will have. The person I am referring to is able to blow money on stupid stuff all the time. They get the stamps and the check once a month. I had to work for what I have.

Yes, more then likely. It appears in our state and possibly the country that self supporting people with brains are the minority. At least Bev wont be back but we'll see about the skinny socialist.

Yep Gov Bev ain't coming back but who the hell do we have to replace her? It's as bad as the presidential Repub primary. Don't get me wrong, a rock could have done a better job (less damage) than she did but, again, who is out there that we can really get behind?
