Default Rfid

going to be doing a test project on RFID technology.

We have vans with stuff in them that goes into customers homes.

Our field personnel do not always do the bst in tracking when this happens.

We want to see if we can use RFID to automate this.

Anyone have any insight to this? Have you tried? do you use now in any fashion?

RFID = Radio Frequency Identification

I am assuming the OP wants to tag his inventory and be able to scan the "stuff" as it is used.

thank but we have already selected two companies to test. I'm in charge of one and really looking for anyone who might have been thru a test and/or implementation of the technology; looking for any pitfalls.

It is about the RFID in 1/3 of all credit cards. The data they transmit, your card number, name, etc is NOT encrypted. A credit card security guy bought an RFID scanner on Ebay and walked through the mall collecting credit card info. Then, with permission of the card holder, he wrote the data to his hotel room key, went over to McDonald and charged his lunch with his hotel room key.

If you have RDIF in a credit card you should ask the bank to re-issue a card WITHOUT the RFID in it.
