Have the same problem with sleeping. Too much alcohol and especially a glass or two of wine will make the night sleep miserable. Now I take an ambien every nite whether I have a drink or not.

Being heavily intoxicated can cause sleep apnea which would make for a shitty nights sleep.

I used to have the same problem, then my family intervened and forced me to give up the insomnia...... all better now!

I haven't drank much in a while but last night I drank a few Sailor Jerry's and then switched to Jack Daniel's. I went to sleep about 2am and im up at 7 am. It seems like every time I drink now I have a hard time sleeping. I woke up a bunch during my sleep and my heart was beating faster than normal it seemed, I fell a little bad this morning too, not much of a hungover feeling but just a bleh feeling.

I think my hardcore drinking days are over.

When drinking you are not suppose to kick the guy in the black suit off your shoulder you are supposed to kick the guy in the white suit off

Having experienced the problems with booze, sleeping and hangovers I have found that the best drink for me is a Vodka Tonic with a slice of lime. No hangover and I sleep great.

I guess I'm backwards?

I am 42, 3 beers and 30 minutes later I could saw a sequoia tree clean in two.
