Plan on seeing it also.

Best recruiting strategy I have ever seen, if it doesnt get you pumped up to be a navy seal nothing will.

I'd like to know where the box office receipts are going to. Hopefully to wounded veterans and those that earned it, and not into the producers' pockets.

Don't quote me on this but I think I remember seeing something about the making and how it was initially independently funded and a good portion of the money was going to families of servicemen and women here in the US to hep out with day to day stuff.

I saw it and it was pretty good.

Still on the fence about using actual SEALs vs real actors as the SEALs weren't actors and some (most) of the dialogue was rather strained or felt canned. On the other hand I am sure it was more realistic because of the access to the SEAL teams and their tactics.

Also, a couple of the great scenes where they are raining lead down on some bad guys are ruined slightly because, instead of letting the sound of the guns, men and rounds play out, they played some sappy music over it. Kind of like a great fishing video being ruined because instead of hearing the clickers, drag, motors, guys, etc. the creator plays some shite music.

Overall, glad I saw it, especially on a great screen with THX.

I hope the proceeds of this film go to veterans and not Hollywood investors. The thought of Hollywood profiting off the popularity of our SEALs makes me ill, but there again, it wouldn't be the first time would it.... Just seems so blatant with the success of Team 6

Was as expected. and worth the price of admission..... I can't remember when 90% of the people in attendance were male.. I somehow felt they should have shown some of the training those guys go through just to get there (would really separate those boys from us lesser guys!!!), kinda sappy at the end but well done.
