I don't know if this is just a problem up here, but I get tired of being inspected 3 or 4 times a day when fishing. The usual inspection is to have a game warden, sheriff, and a Coastie. the GW makes us pull our gear to check for barbless hooks, fishing licenses and that the catch is legal. The coastie checks to make sure that safety equipment is all there and the boat registration is current. the sheriff makes sure everyone hasn't been over indulging. This process takes between 15 to 20 minutes. then it seems every two hours this is repeated. If you have flares out of date, or any other violation its a fine. I figured that fisherman have just become an additional revenue source for the gobment. Then this article came out,

just another reason quit fishing in US waters.
