Default Pats with the cheap win...Who agrees?

I thought the pats defense took cheap shots, that should of been called. Donavan made to many mistakes and the offensive line sucked. I wish the Eagles won... I can't stand the damn Patriots!

How did Donovan McNabb win any games during the regular season ... he tells every defense player where he's throwing the Ball !!!! stares the reciver down the whole time .....

All I know is I won the first quarter pot!!!!!!

I'm not even a football fan. Watched UNC play twice on TV this year. Didn't see a single pro game. Had no preference whatsoever for who would win tonight.

I didn't see the cheap shots. Penalties were called against both sides.

What I saw was two excellent teams play a helluva game. Looked like the team with the most points at the end won. Ain't that how it's s'posed to be?

I'm talking about the mocking they made after scoring a touch down, and the little cheap shot they took after the play. They played really physical. Don't worry i'm just venting...

I wanna see if McNabb's bank account gets a lot bigger without reason. It almost appeared like he wanted to throw an interception in the first quarter when they were down in the red zone. As soon as the one was called back for an illegal contact he threw another with a direct strike to the defense.

(I really dont think that but some of the passing decisions were BAD!.. I am just sore the Eagles lost)

Congrats to the Pats, a very solid team.

BTW, T.O. is the man!

Most pathetic 2 minute perfomance I have ever seen, and in a SUPER BOWL that was close.

If I were and Eagles fan I would have somebody's head, it was almost like Mcnab did not want to win it.

I had a very pathetic 2 minute performance last night.......

Cheap? Kind of like when the Eagles receiver threw a flying illegal pick in the 2nd quarter to allow T.O. to make a 30 yard play????

NE was the more physical team...........the Freak was treated like a punk by that tackle from NE.....

I think it was a good game. I didn't see as many good commercials as usually.

Let's not take any shots at any of these players. They are the two best teams in the NFL, the game could have gone either way. They all played their hearts out. T.O. showed alot of people his real metal. He's a tough competitor. My hat is off to him. Congrats Pats fans. We'll see you next year in Detroit.

Yah I'd go along with that guys, sure did look like McNabb didn't want the win - I was saying that from their second possession. At times I was hollering out he looked like a benched third string High School QB.

At least the Eagles made it a game!
It could have been a lot worse the way
they coughed it up!

having played quarterback, I'd like to give you something to think about next time you watch a football game...and get down on a QB

As a QB
1) you need to know the plays...all of them...and you need to know what everyone else on you team will do on each play
2) you need to be able to understand what a defense is doing while the defense tries to hide what they are doing...
3) You have to repeat the play in the huddle and assign a snap count and then remember both while walking up to the line...
4) Once at the line, you have to look at the defense and decide if you are going with the primary play...the secondary play...or go to a called audible....
5) You then receive the snap, where a strong guy slams the ball into your hands while you are beginning to back up..
6) Assuming it is a pass, you take your 3, 5, or 7 step drop while beginning to go through your progression of receivers....you do this on feild level, it looks a lot more chaotic than the view you get on TV....with tall large, guys in front of you, some of whom will be hitting you in about two seconds whether you throw the ball or not
7) You make your read, find the proper receiver, and then you throw...but you do not throw the ball to the receiver, you throw the ball to a spot where the receiver will be and where the defenders will not be....
8) you get knocked on the ground by a 300 lb freak of nature with no way of breaking your fall..
9) now, go and do this 80 more times in the next three hours and don't mess up.....

Sounds like another disgruntled Eagles fan.
I feel your pain cracker. I played linebacker (only a lightweight at 235 lbs) and just loved havin QB's in my sights.
Go Giants!

You forgot one! While over center, I.D. the "D" formation and let the line know what it is so they can audible their assignments.

Hey....sounds like you described Brady!

crackerasscracker,

You're just blowing smoke up my hole with that one. That has nothing and I say nothing to do with the fact that McNabb was throwing jump balls five to ten yards short! As I said he played like a benched third string quarterback, just like Favre was against the Vikings.

30 for 51, 357yds, 3 TD's and 3 Int's. Too many int's to be sure, but give the guy a break, he wasn't THAT bad!

Still I thought it was a great game, but I have never ever seen a NFL team go into a huddle after EVERY play with less than 1 minute to go and down by 3, QB or not you are the leader of the team and the team follows you.

Never saw Aikmen, Montona, and others do that and you would not have seen Brady do that either.

I am no Eagles fan but Mcnab showed is lack of desire tonight, and do not get me wrong I like the guy.

However I also look at it from the stand point that the Pat's have been there and KNEW they were going to win and the Eagles were just glad to be there and THOUGHT they had a chance to win.

Again it was a classic superbowl and the team with the least amount of mistakes won

You are correct sir.....and that is why that position is filled with the small slow guys that can't kick field goals.

Seriously, I thought it was an ok game.....it just seemed from my perspective that the Pat's have a more complete team, especially since they can run the ball well. It could have gone either way if the last punt had been shanked instead of making it to the 4 yardline.
