Really not that impressive of a win for Bama when LSU could get nothing together offensively, but it was a win... Congrads from a Gator fan..

Would some LSU fan 'splain to me why Lee has been MIA from the last bunch of games, and stayed on the bench when every close-up of Jefferson last night showed him with dead eyes?

Bamaboy, if we had an answer we'd be rich. Seems to be the main topic of talk shows today. If anything, don't know if it would have worked or not, put Lee in and try to change the tempo. Never was able to understand the coaching at times.

Bunch of long faces here in BatonRouge today. LSU was served a slice of humble pie last night after that spanking. Congratulations Alabama.

That's a good way to put it. Jefferson has had those dead eyes every game he's ever played in. You know how with some QBs their expression seems to convey "I got this."? Well, Jefferson has never been one of those QBs. The problem is neither has Lee.

14 year old nephew came to the house last night so he could watch the big game with Uncle twentynine. Watched him scream at the TV, for Les Miles to "put Lee in, he can't do no worse". You know I don't believe Les Miles was listening.

Joking aside. I believe it was a coaching problem. His inability to adapt the game plan, led him to stick with George Jefferson. Yeah I know the name is Jordan but this morning George seems more appropriate.

It sure looked like Miles should have given Lee a chance. But, with the clarity of 20/20 hindsight, some coaches are too fast to change QB's and some are too slow. In the too fast category, look at some of the guys that had decent pro careers and never were even a clear starter while Spurrier was at Florida. Jessie Palmer and Doug Johnson, for example. He may be quirky but Miles has shown that he can be a good coach and an excellent recruiter. In the first LSU/Alabama game this year Miles seemed to have gotten into Saban's head about trick plays (fake field goals and punts), and he never had to do it. This time and this night Alabama was clearly superior, and hat's off to the Tide (no pun intended). I'll never forget though that just over a year ago Miles lost the game to Tennessee due to blatantly bad coaching (clock mismanagement, again), but was lucky to get an extra play due to 12 men on the field and LSU scored on the next play (after time was out) to win the game. As they say, it's often better to be lucky. I think that LSU fans are lucky to have Miles, but they sometimes feel justifiably manic with him as their coach, and perhaps him with them, too. When he's great, he's just one game away from being on the ropes. And when he's on the ropes, he's just a few games away from being loved, again. Tiger fans, just remember the days of Cholly Mac (always good, but never really great), and all the pain between then and now. It could be Gerry DiNardo, after all??!!

Have you ever thought that maybe it was because Bama's D did not let them get anything going.

The ESPN guys were comparing this year's AL D with the 1986 Sooners that (up to now) had the best D in the history of college football.

They said Alabama might be the best ever...
